The Claudia Cabinet was a very rewarding collaboration between Californian artist Will Brubaker, and myself. Together we created a truly one-of-a-kind piece of art, to house and hide your television.
Will's skills were lent to the mosaic front, pieced together very laboriously from found objects, mostly trash from around train tracks. Where mine were found in the cabinetry.
This piece was picked up by Furnitex connect and the Australian Furniture Association to travel to China and London for further exhibitions.
The cabinet itself could translate through a multitude of uses. Bathroom cabinets with mirror backings. The hidden liquor collection. Or as was intended, to mask your television.
